.ART AWARD
A new global award open to artists across geographies and backgrounds, focused on documenting the creative process behind artworks. Your .ART domain name, linked to a dedicated website, artist platform profile, or social media page serve as your application.
About
To apply, artists submit a .ART domain (URL). The .ART domain is required, and it can point to a dedicated website, your existing site on another extension (.com, .net, etc.), an artist platform profile (Hug.art, ID.art, OpenSea), or a social media page (Instagram). Whichever destination you choose becomes a living archive of your practice.
Why .ART
A .ART domain gives your artistic practice a permanent, independent home online. Your work lives there as a structured, self-authored digital presence that evolves alongside your practice, becoming part of the art itself. It is a name, an archive, and a record of authorship that stays yours over time.

Q: Who can apply?
A: The award is open to individual artists and artist collectives from all backgrounds, and all art forms — including different cultures, ethnicities, gender identities, and abilities. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. There are no restrictions based on nationality or place of residence, or on the type of art - visual art, digital art, poetry, music, performance are all eligible forms of art.
Q: Is there an age limit?
A: You must be at least 18 years old at the time of submission. There is no upper age limit.
Q: Can artist collectives apply?
A: Yes. Both individual artists and artist collectives are eligible.
Q: Can I submit more than one entry?
A: Yes. Multiple entries are permitted, as long as each submission is presented on or linked to a separate .ART domain.
Q: Is there a submission fee?
A: No. There is no fee to submit. You only need a .ART domain connected to your submission.
Q: Can I submit collaborative work with non-artist contributors (e.g., scientists, engineers)?
A: Yes. Cross-disciplinary collaborations are welcome. The award is open to artist collectives and collaborative projects of all kinds.
Q: Can I submit work that has been previously exhibited or published?
A: Yes. There are no restrictions on when the artwork was created or whether it has been shown before. You can submit new work, previously exhibited pieces, or ongoing projects — as long as the submission meets all three content requirements.
Q: Is there a preferred language for the submission?
A: All submissions must be in English — including the biography, narrative text, captions, and any other written content.
